- Transcritical supermarket refrigeration systems using carbon dioxide (CO2) as the refrigerant. Includes CO2 cascade systems, hybrid cascade systems, pumped secondary CO2 systems, and transcritical booster CO2 Systems. Explores the difference between subcritical and transcritical operating conditions and the supporting components. Emphasis on safety handling procedures of CO2 as a refrigerant. Field trips required.
