Transfers ToCSUDescriptionDescription: Continued study and application of techniques acquired during Music Theory I. In addition, through guided composition and analysis, Music Theory II includes: Common Practice period voice leading involving four-part chorale writing; diatonic harmony; chromatic harmony; secondary/applied chords; modulation; borrowed chords; the Neapolitan chord; augmented sixth chords; and an introduction to binary and ternary forms. Laboratory includes chromatic sight singing and ear training activities that incorporate melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic dictation.
