Students will examine evidence-based strategies for reducing risk factors, promoting protective factors, and supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by addiction. Topics include prevention models across diverse populations, early screening and intervention methods, treatment engagement, and long-term recovery supports. Emphasis will be placed on cultural competence, ethical considerations, and the integration of community and professional resources.
