    Description: Introduction to the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) reviewing the principles of effective clinical case management and an overview of the treatment planning process for individuals dealing with common mental, emotional and behavioral disorders encountered in counseling. With integrated DSM-5 criteria, and current CACREP standards this course will provide a practical framework for developing accurate and effective case conceptualization, diagnoses and treatment plans. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
