    Description: Introduction to the theory and practice of counseling survivors, individuals and families, impacted by domestic intimate partner violence. The psychological effects of rape, battering, and other forms of sexual and domestic violence may be explored. Special attention will be given to treatment methods, providing resources, and the dynamic roles of the helping professional in social work, human services, and counseling practices. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
