    Description: Theory and fundamentals of how and why fires start, spread, and are controlled; an in-depth study of fire chemistry and physics, fire characteristics of materials, extinguishing agents and fire control techniques. Adopted from the National Fire Academy Model Fire Science Associate Degree Curriculum. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
