    Description: The influence of culture, religion, and family history on an individual’s perception of health and illness. Emphasis is placed on the dental hygiene student’s ability to provide care in a diverse setting to individuals, groups, and communities. This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene Program. 18.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
