    Description: This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene program. This course is the study of the properties, composition and manipulation of materials used in dentistry. The study of dental materials provides the student with the scientific rationale for selecting and using specific materials as well as understanding the varied relationships of dental biomaterials. 40.00 hours lecture and 45.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
