    Description: This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene program. The student will be introduced to the theory, concepts, techniques, and drugs utilized in dentistry to achieve adequate pain control through local anesthesia and nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation. Students practice local anesthesia injections and administer nitrous oxide/oxygen on classmates. 27.00 hours lecture and 54.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
