The student will be introduced to the theory, concepts, techniques, and drugs utilized in dentistry to achieve adequate pain control through local anesthesia and nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation. Students practice local anesthesia injections and administer nitrous oxide/oxygen on classmates. 27.00 hours lecture and 54.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
