The course is an overview of embryologic development of structures of the head and neck, teeth, and oral cavity; histology of the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity; the developmental and structural defects involving the oral cavity and teeth; introduction to diseases of the oral cavity including periodontal disease and caries; and general pathology found in the head and neck region. 54.00 hours lecture.
