    Description
    Description: Meets the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Assistant Program. Introduces students to the practice and history of dentistry including dental specialties, legal responsibilities and roles of the dental auxiliary, ethical decision making, dental terminology, dental charting, dental equipment, instrument identification, patient communication skills, and the provision of oral hygiene instructions. 54.00 hours lecture and 81.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
