Focuses on practice and demonstration of communication, physical assessment, activity of daily living, identification of actual and potential health deviations, and documentation of the nursing process. Part 2: Applies beginning medical-surgical, patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care to 1-2 adult patients with common, acute, and chronic healthcare needs in the acute care setting using the nursing process related to health promotion and self-care deviations. Focuses on medication administration, IV maintenance, application of safety/technical skills, the nursing process, communication, responsibility and accountability, and organization and prioritization.
