    Description
    This course offers an introduction to the reading and analysis of scripts and the different ways critics, directors, actors, and designers approach them. Topics include classic and contemporary plays, the creative mechanisms behind effective drama, an exploration of realistic and non-realistic work, and playwrights and their process. Also covers interpretation, exploration, and analysis of some of the most influential and exciting work in theatre history. Field trips may be required. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online. [C-ID THTR 114]
