Students are exposed to potential professional paths for bilinguals through readings and discussions about translation, teaching of foreign languages, Chicano and other Hispanic literatures. Students learn to use formal and academic Spanish in advanced compositions and conversation. Students will demonstrate the ability to think critically by analyzing linguistic structures, making cross-cultural comparisons.
