    This course offers students the study and practice of consecutive interpretation. Students learn terminology, concepts, skills, approaches and techniques of interpreting using authentic materials and contextually meaningful situations. They develop skills necessary for consecutive interpretation. The skills developed and improved include the following: listening skills, note-taking, use of cognitive complements, clear expression of ideas, transcoding, and other skills. Taught in English and Spanish. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
