    Description
Politics has shaped cinema, and vice versa. This course examines the ways that films have been been used by those in power, activists, and artists to make political claims, define political problems, and to shape opinions of people around the world. Class discussions and reading materials focus on questions of representation, persuasion, and shared meaning making. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
