    Description
    This course offers a survey of the history of Mexico from Pre-Columbian times to the present. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. Using an empathetical approach with diverse viewpoints, the class introduces students to the ethnic, racial, political, religious, gender, artistic, international, geographical, physical, economic, social, and cultural forces that have shaped Mexico's history. Analysis of both "ordinary" and "extraordinary" individuals and groups surrounding their contributions to the creation of modern Mexico. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
