    Description
    This course prepares students to become a wildfire powersaw operator within the National Interagency Management System. It covers safety considerations, techniques of saw operation, maintenance, and repair. Training on Wildland Fire Chainsaws (S-212) is identified training in the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Suppression/California State Fire Marshal Curriculum. Intended for students who are pursuing a career with a federal or state wildland fire management agency or as specialty training with a municipal/county fire agency.
