    Description
    This course will focus on Chicanos and the U.S. Constitution, political process of decision making by the Presidency, Congress, and the Supreme Court, and the California Constitution, laws and initiatives, and governors, and explore the impact of eurocentrism, ethnocentrism, racism, white supremacist, racial discrimination, class, gender, age, religion, institutional racism, language discrimination, colonization, and immigration in the Chicana/o community. Students will review how the Chicana/o community has applied theory and knowledge gained through solidarity, racial struggle, racial resistance, and agency formation, and how this organizing has positively impacted Chicano communities. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
