    Description
    This course develops the knowledge and skills necessary for recognizing and caring for people in emergency situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, prevention of disease transmission, and automated external defibrillation. This course is designed for the first responders at an emergency scene. Successful completion of the knowledge, skills tests and with a successful completion of the course at 80% accumulative points and the summative final at (80%) qualifies for an American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) “First Responder” Certificate and an American Heart Association “Basic Life Support Health Care Provider” Certificate. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
