    Explore accounting as an information system, emphasizing its importance and how investors, creditors, and others use it to make decisions. The curriculum covers the accounting information system, including the recording and reporting of business transactions, with a focus on the accounting cycle, applying generally accepted accounting principles, analyzing financial statements, and communicating results. The course also addresses issues related to asset, liability, and equity valuation, revenue and expense recognition, cash flow, internal controls, and ethics.
