Topics include integumentary, skeletal, muscular, respiratory, digestive, renal/excretory, reproductive, cardiovascular, endocrine, lymphatic, nervous, and sensory systems, from cellular to organ system levels of organization, with a focus on integration of the systems, homeostatic mechanisms, aging, and pathology. The process of peer-review and evidenced-based evaluation of claims related to anatomy, health, and pathology are incorporated. This course is designed to prepare students for success in nursing, kinesiology, nutrition, allied health, and health-related majors.
