- This course provides theoretical instruction on care of the women during the stages of pregnancy and care of the newborn. Applies basic principles and concepts to meet the needs of the childbearing woman, childbearing family, and the pediatric patient. Family-centered care in the hospital and out-patient settings, along with health maintenance, and the prevention of illness.
