    A study of social and political thought using classical and contemporary writings, with emphasis on current issues. Topics covered are the philosophical justifications for forms of government such as representative democracy, socialism, fascism, and anarchism as well as theories of justice such as multiculturalism, communitarianism, marxism, libertarianism, feminism, civic republicanism, and environmental sustainability.
