Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course emphasizes the relation of mind/body connection of visualization, affirmation, concentration, and body movements with various health outcomes and disease risk factors such as diet, obesity, physical activity, sleep, and stress. Emphasizes the overall value and benefits of a meditation practice for reducing stress, increasing relaxation, postural and breath awareness, health and wellness, resilience, deepening relationships, and enhancing engagement in learning, work, leisure, and civic activities. Popular mind-body fitness methods such as Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi will be examined and practiced throughout the course.
