Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThe focus of this course is on nursing knowledge in order to provide nursing care for the geriatric population. The emphasis is placed on the geriatric syndromes: Falls, pain, eating problems and nutrition, sleep, depression, elimination, urinary incontinence, anxiety and cognition, living abilities, skin integrity and elder abuse. The geriatric clinical experience will introduce the students to the leadership roles and nursing care provided within long-term care facilities.
