    Description
    This course is a historical survey of the United States, from Indigenous North America to the end of Reconstruction. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. Periods covered include: American societies to 1492, the colonial period, the American Revolution, creation of the U.S. Constitution and federalism, the early national period, the antebellum period, the Civil War and Reconstruction. Formerly listed as HIST 101.
