    Description
    Explores substance use and abuse, focusing on how individual behavior, social environments, and public health interact. Topics include the epidemiology and toxicology of substance use, psychological and social factors influencing behavior, and the effects of licit and illicit drugs on the brain. Students will analyze patterns and trends in substance use, examine risk and protective factors, and evaluate prevention, recovery, and community-based interventions.
