    Introduction to the critical analysis of major concepts, issues, and debates in the field of U. S. Latina/o/x Comics Studies. Exploration and comparative analysis of the social, political, economic, and cultural development of the diversity of Latinx comic arts narratives in the United States with an emphasis on Chicana/o/x, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Central and South American, and Caribbean creators. Includes an examination of how Latinx comics creators navigate race, racism and racial formation, ethnicity, equity, decolonization, imperialism, Latinidad, activism, social justice, popular culture, education, sexuality, and the politics of language as it relates to lived experiences and the cultural production of comic arts.
