    Introduction to the major concepts, issues, and debates in the field of U.S. Latina/o/x Studies. Exploration and comparative analysis of the social, political, economic, and cultural development of the diversity of Latinxs in the United States with an emphasis on Chicana/o/x, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Central and South American, and Caribbean lived experiences. Includes an examination of race, racism, and racial formation, ethnicity, equity, decolonization, imperialism, Latinidad, Latinx political activism, social justice, popular culture, education, sexuality, and the politics of language.
