    Description
Covers accounting concepts and procedures required to complete the full accounting cycle for a service company and a merchandising firm using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in a manual and computerized environment. The emphasis is on recording transactions, preparing financial statements, performing bank reconciliations, and processing payroll for a sole proprietorship. After learning to complete those tasks manually, students create a company file, maintain the chart of accounts, complete a full accounting cycle, and reconcile the bank account using QuickBooks.
