    Description
    Exploration of the history and philosophy of the administration of justice system in America including the intricate workings of the police, the courts and corrections systems. Focus is placed on examining crime measurement, theoretical explanations of crime, responses to crime, punishment, components of the system and the current challenges to the system. Students are introduced to the origins and development of criminal law, legal process and sentencing, incarceration policies and ethics in the administration of justice field.
