    Cover all areas for the classification of transit light rail operator. This introductory course for Light Rail Operator positions focuses on public transit organizations. Students are exposed to rail nomenclature and builds a safety foundation that meets the requirements identified by VTA. This course highlights VTA's light rail vehicles, including learning about the operations of the vehicle, various components and operating rules. This training meets the requirements identified by VTA and the California Public Utilities Commission (General Order).<br /> Per California Code of Regulations, this course is limited to students admitted to the Light Rail Operator apprenticeship program at Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
