    Description
    This course provides the nursing student with directed clinical experiences for pediatric patient/clients as well as adult and geriatric patients/clients in acute care hospitals and a variety of community healthcare agencies. The nursing student provides comprehensive, holistic patient/client care and teaching to assist the individuals who have acute or chronic illness in the medical-surgical setting as well as provide nursing care for patients in the pediatrics setting to meet their health needs while incorporating the standards of professional practice and the Neuman Systems Model. During preceptorship, in collaboration with a registered nurse, the student will provide optimal client outcomes by applying concepts learned throughout the nursing program.
