Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is designed to present mental health principles to assist the RN nursing student in developing an increased understanding of human behavior in the areas of anxiety disorders, psychiatric disorders, chemical dependency, personality disorders, domestic violence and sexual assault issues. Instruction regarding the application of therapeutic communication skills, psychopharmacological concepts and mental status assessment skills is also emphasized with the discussion of the above issues.
