    This course is designed to prepare the licensed vocational nurse for entry into an associate degree nursing (ADN) program. The course includes topics such as nursing process, role change, research skills, teaching-learning principles, and development of the teaching role. The course content focuses on competencies expected of the graduate ADN such as critical thinking skills, review of medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, and medication calculations) to prepare the student for success in an ADN program.
