This course is an introduction to some philosophical problems and the various approaches to their solutions. The student is exposed to selected traditional philosophical systems with emphasis upon how these systems are relevant to solving the problems of contemporary existence. Among the questions explored in the course are: What is reality? What is the nature of human beings? What makes an act right or wrong? Are human actions free or determined? What is knowledge?
