    Description
    This course will review the psychological factors associated with participation and performance in sport activities. Sport psychology research will be examined to understand how sport performance is affected by psychological principles. Topics will include historical and contemporary perspectives of sport psychology, research methods, team and group dynamics, and the relationship between sport performance and various personality, motivational, and social psychological variables. Gender and age issues, as well as the effects and management of stress and anxiety, unhealthy behaviors, and psychological burnout will be discussed.
