    Description
    This honors course provides an overview of the culture and life experiences of African Americans. Content focuses on significant themes such as literary expressions, folklore, visual arts, music, dance, theater, religion, and philosophical thought. The course provides an examination of the historic, economic, and social forces that have inspired creativity among African Americans. Students may not receive credit for both HUM 018 and HUM 018H. Enrollment in the Honors Transfer Project is required.
