Topics include the role of housekeeping, planning and organizing the department, environmental and energy management, sustainability and green lodging facilities, interactions between housekeeping and other departments. Students examine safety and security, the cleaning function, budgeting labor, equipment and supplies, managing inventories, and effective diversity management.
