- This course provides instruction on the following: organization and function of fire prevention; fire and life safety inspections; utilization of the Uniform Fire Code and related standards in determining requirements for fire safety; surveying and mapping procedures; recognition of fire and life hazards; engineering and enforcing a solution of a fire hazard; public education aspects of fire prevention; and firefighters' responsibility in determining the cause of fire.
