- This course focuses on fire protection systems including: utilization of portable fire extinguishing equipment including inspection and maintenance procedures; fundamentals of design and operation of various types of sprinkler systems; fundamentals of design and operation of special hazard protection systems and associated fire detection and signaling systems; water supply requirements for standpipe, sprinkler and other fire protection systems.
