    Description
    In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. <br /> Students will enhance their critical reading, writing, and research skills by exploring and applying various techniques writers use in terms of approach, tone, word choice, organization, selection of support materials, etc. in order to impact their target audience and achieve their purpose. English C1000 fulfills the English requirement for the associate degree. This course also satisfies the English requirement for baccalaureate degrees. This course was previously known as ENG 001A.
