- This course covers beginning techniques for fabricating custom furniture and wood projects. Emphasis is on learning about wood properties and joinery methods using the woodshop equipment, machines and tools. Students work in a collaborative environment where they are encouraged to explore their creativity, share their ideas, cultural perspectives and experiences for artistic and personal enrichment.
