The course focuses on identifying communication methods and interactional strategies that promote successful family engagement and parent/professional partnerships from a strength-based approach. Topics include family dynamics and well-being; parenting styles; families as life-long educators; cultural, linguistic, gender, and developmental diversity; community resources; and support systems.
