A historical overview provides context to movements and issues in art since the 1960s as preparation for visiting artists' and designers presentations, video screenings, and visits to art and design exhibitions and/or studios. Students gain insight into ideas and material methods in diverse media including, but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, photography, installation, 2D and 3D design production, and electronic media. This course is for beginning students in the field of art and design and related disciplines.
