    Prerequisite: EMT 211, BIOL 024, MEDAS 503 or HLTOC 101 or HLTOC 201. Other: Student must be a minimum 18 years of age at the start of EMT 221A and must have completed CPR for the Healthcare Provider offered by the American Red Cross. Recommended Preparation: MEDAS 505.

    Introduction to paramedic technician: Basic principles of pharmacology; anatomy and physiology; medical patient management; airway management; patient assessment; and trauma patient management. General paramedic didactic education and training following the current Department of Transportation National Emergency Services Education Standards (NEMSES) and California Code of Regulations, Title 22.
