    <b><font color="7A0018"> Ends Summer 2026. Effective Fall 2026, BIOL-C1000 replaces BIOL-01. </b></font><br> Limitation on Enrollment: This course is not open to students having a C or better in BIOL-04A. This is an introductory-level course designed for non-majors. Areas stressed include the origin of life, structure and function of cells, basic processes of life, reproduction, ecology, microbiology, evolution, classification, genetics, and metabolic processes.
