    Description
This noncredit course will introduce older adult students to story-telling techniques for transforming personal memories, community interviews, original writing, and/or historical research into an original theatrical presentation. Students will explore the principles of community based theatre while honing their mental acuity through performance skills, ensemble techniques, script development, and active listening. Students will be asked to recall, organize and share their personal stories and/or their responses to political, social, and cultural dynamics of a particular community. Course activities will help maintain physical, mental, social and emotional health by encouraging skills which may include collaboration, physical and vocal expression, and memorization.
