    This course examines contemporary social justice movements in relation to ethnic and racial groups in the United States to provide a basis for a better understanding of the socio- economic, cultural, and political conditions among key social groups. Explores the development of protest movements created byBlack,lndigenous,andPeopleofColor(BIPOC)inresponseto racial, class, gender, and political inequality in the context of U.S. politicsandhistory.Thecourseinvestigatestheintersectionalityof movementsandexperiencestodrawconnectionstootherprotest movements in the US including those for disability, reproductive, and citizenship rights.
